The Respect Dare

Day 3: BIBLICAL WIFE

Before we start Nina Rosener made a great point that “not all marriages are created to be the same.” That “what works in one woman’s marriage may not work in anther.” So let’s remember this ladies and stay focus on our own personal marriage on how we can improve ourselves to be more of the Godly wife God wants us to be.

And it’s in my deepest prayers ladies that you’re holding on tight to the Lord and getting through these dares. Remember there is no need to rush, take your time to let The Holy Spirit guide you through these dares. So on to the challenge my ladies….

We were ask in the book to take a personal assessment test, if you still don’t got the book leave me a comment and I will see if I can get them typed up for you and send them to you. After we prayerfully went through each questions and check off the ones that applied to us, we was then ask to answer some questions.

                                         SO WHAT ABOUT YOU?

Today I’m doing a happy dance! Because this dare was not too bad for me. Most of the areas I was all ready aware of what I needed to work on and been working on them, so this help me out a lot.

Question 1: How did you feel during the evaluation?

I felt relaxed, because God had all ready let me know what areas I needed to improve in.

Question 2: Where do you think those feelings came from?

Question 3: Can those feelings be trusted? Why or why not?

Question 4: What are the two aspects from above that you feel most led to improve upon at this time? Why

One that I feel most led to improve is to be more consistent in time I spend praying. Why because I tend to just pray when it need be and quick. Not that I don’t feel that I need God, because trust me I need HIM, but because I’m not sure what to say or how.

The other would be to speak a language of respect to my husband unconditionally. I grew up in the world for thirty-four and half years without God, I was raised by men and respect was not number one the list. So when I meet my husband I came with this very tough exterior, a harden heart and disrespectful like I don’t know what, poor man. But trust me God got a hold of me and He’s working on changing me from the inside out! Praise God!

Question 5: What would happen if you were able to grow significantly in those two aspects during the next forty days?

WOW! Before I started this dare my husband and I were at war with each other and living with either one of us was stressful! There was incident that took place that change my husband and I forever and our lives, to the point we were not even sure if we still had a marriage.

We separated  for a bit till we could see what God wanted us to do. Well it came to the point were God put it on my heart for my hubby to come home with some requirements. Let me tell you what I have seen God do through us and how we are now, WOW! Is all I can say.

So there is no doubt in my mind of what God can do when you work with Him. So I’m ready for the challenge and I’m excited to see what God got plan for me and my marriage.

Questions 6: What would that mean for your relationships with God and your husband?

For God it would mean I would listen to Him more, than my feelings. For my husband it would bring us even closer to God and each other. And he would love that I’m finally respecting him!

I pray that God is working through you to give you strength to get you through these dares ladies. And ladies don’t give up if you don’t see changes right away, things sometimes take time, but in the end if you wait on God it’s well worth it! I’m witness myself to just what God can do when you wait on Him and not run with how you feel. It’s Blessing is all I can say. God Bless to all….
