Ladies I want to give you all an update: I have decided that Monday – Friday we will do our chapters and study guides.
On Saturday we will rest there will be no post on that day. This will give us time to reflect on what God is trying to tell us and show us. Plus it will give us some free time to do what we need to do.
On Sunday I will do a question day post. What I will do is take a few of questions from each chapter we have done that week, so we can discuss our answers and what God is showing us. I hope this will work for everyone. Thank you….
Chapter 4: “Little By Little”
Joyce Myers tell us that “Pride is the beast that will consume us if we receive too much freedom too quickly. It is actually better to be set at liberty in one area at a time. That way, we appreciate our freedom more; we realize it is truly a gift from God and not something we can make happen in our own strength.”
For myself this statement is true, for years I tried to quit drinking and doing drugs but nothing that I try to do in my power or other people try to do in their power worked.
It was not till I gave myself to God and then He free me! It was the best gift God could ever give me because I am free from being dependent on alcohol and drugs to get me through another day. Now I depend on God! It made me realize just how much I needed Him! And it made me even more grateful to Him for what He did for me.
Joyce Myers tells us that we need to suffer “a little while.” Why? “She believes from the time we actually realize that we have a problem until Jesus delivers us, we endure a type of suffering, but rejoice even more when freedom comes.”
Now the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ Jesus, will personally restore, establish, strengthen, and support you after you have suffered a little. 1 Peter 5:10 (CEB)
Joyce Myers reminds us to remember: “ Don’t receive condemnation when you have set backs or bad days. Just get back up, dust yourself off, and start again.”
There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Roman 8:1 (KJV)
Joyce Meyers tell us to: “Remember the devil will try his hardest to stop you in this area of renewing the mind. He knows that his control over you is finished once we have learned to chose right thoughts and reject wrong ones. He will attempt to stop us through discouragement and condemnation.”
Trust me if you have not already experience this, be ready because he will use everything including those closest to you to make you doubt that it’s not worth the trouble to go through with this, but don’t get discourage.
“Discouragement destroys hope, so naturally the devil always tries to discourage us. Without hope we give up, which is what the devil wants us to do.” Joyce Meyers
But let perseverance do its complete work; so that you may be complete and whole, lacking in nothing. James 1:4 (CJB)
“God is delivering us, little by little, so don’t be discourage and don’t feel condemned if you make a mistake. Be patient with ourselves.” Joyce Myers
Remember ladies: More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5
Ladies if you have the study guide please answer the questions that goes with today’s chapter. Please feel free to leave any comments or questions that you may have. God Bless To All…..
